| To catch the first sunbeams on the summit, we started already at 2am at the Hörnli hut at 3260m (10695 ft). We reached the summit at 6:30 after an ascent of 4.5 hours and a difference in altitude of 1200 metres, just in time for one of the most exclusive sunrises of the alps.
